This procedure, known as embryo transfer, is simple and short-term. The embryo is transferred to the mother’s uterus with the help of a catheter placed in the cervix. After the procedure is completed, it is recommended that the mother rest for about 30 minutes. Afterwards, the patient can leave the hospital and return to her normal, daily life. The development of the pregnancy, which begins with the embryo attaching to the uterus, is monitored regularly.

In cases where pregnancy does not occur despite regular and unprotected sexual intercourse for 12 months, infertility is suspected. In 85% of couples, pregnancy occurs with natural physical conditions within one year. This rate reaches 90% in the second year. However, in some couples, pregnancy cannot occur naturally. In vitro fertilization can be used in the treatment of infertility, which can be seen in both men and women.
